Marcus Fisher, the alter ego of artist Oreet Ashery is a hybrid,
somewhere between an orthodox Jewish man and a secular female artist.
Marcus Fisher had produced Videos, prints and public interventions
like a Turkish men’s café in Berlin, and dancing with
thousands orthodox Jewish man at the North of Israel.
Marcus has also been involved in one to one interaction with participants
in various bedrooms. In ‘Say Cheese’ participants enter
the bedroom one at a time for an intimate session with Marcus Fisher.
Marcus facilitates any exchange the participant wants whether that
is psychological, erotic, physical (apart from pain), confessional
or no exchange at all. Many participants wanted to ‘act out’
a separation with Marcus, as with one participant who requested
that Marcus tell her “I don’t love you anymore”.
7 Acts of Love on line has two parts: an Archive of the Marcus
Fisher’s project and an interactive therapy session about
separation. PLEASE HAVE YOUR VOLUME UP AND SPEAKERS ON FOR THE SESSION!
