Comfort me Video, 4 min, 58 sec, 2004 Mini-DV,
Stereo
We see a snow shaker with a house surrounded by trees, covered
in little, fake snowflakes. The scene is grimly lit against a white
background. Suddenly a hand grasps it and starts to shake all the
snow in it. The hand winds the bottom of the ball and it begins
to play a tune.
Comfort me is about when we wake up in the middle of the night,
scared perhaps after a bad dream. It is about our need for illusions
and comfort when we feel scared and small.

Norway Video, 5 min, 6 sec, 2004 Mini-DV,
No Sound
A lone figure has waded out into the snowy forest and performs
a silent dance. She is struggelling to keep her balance, she moves
around the frame and occationally out of shot. When she has finished,
she walks out and leaves only the snowy trees behind.
Norway is about humans endless struggle to survive, and the universal
ability to never give up. The insignificance of man in comparison
with nature, and the meaninglessness of her struggle seems quite
apparent, yet her effort and good spirit stands in stark contract
to this.
