London Onion is a primarily text-based animation inspired by London Onion, a poem by Kurt Schwitters, written in 1946. This text is phonetically German and exemplifies Schwitters\' playful use of typography and sound poetics. The audio track features poet, translator, and author Jerome Rothenberg reading Schwitters\' poem accompanied by Bertrum Turetzky playing the contrabass. The animation was created in May 2005 using Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator on the Macintosh platform.
