Ever since I have been able to perceive the world around me, the sight, smell and noise of men peeing in public have always been familiar. Even after having spent quite some time to understand male peeing habits intellectually as a cultural phenomenon of demonstration and manifestation of male dominance, or at least the attempt to that, I am still appalled whenever I see a man peeing in public. After having passed hundreds of puddles I decided one night to address a peeing-in-public-offender. I said: "I don't like that you are pissing in the middle of the pavement. stop it." Still carrying on he turned towards me and pissed right onto my shoes and trousers. I was furious. I felt humiliated. He actually looked strong and dominant. I came to the conclusion that it must be a terrific feeling to pee in public.
I chose Princes Street in Edinburgh on a Saturday afternoon. And yes, it did feel good. I am not going to do it again.
